ACCOUNTABILITY
I want accountability from the school administration to get things done. We always hold our teachers and students accountable, but who is holding the administration accountable?
RACIAL EQUITY
I want equity in the school system so that immigrants, students of color, students with disabilities, ELL and LGBTQ are being included.
As I continue to talk with parents from these backgrounds, I am hearing that many feel neglected, are not listened to, and that they are the problem. I am a collaborater, and can work with all to find solutions.
AUTHENTIC FAMILY ENGAGEMENT
I want authentic family engagement. I will go in the homes of the students and parents to hear from them about their concerns. It is about helping our families feel welcomed at our schools and listening to them about their hopes and dreams for their family.
STRATEGIC PRIORITIES
I will listen to you and work with you to ensure that resources are going to the right priorities. I don't want to duplicate programs and if programs are not working, I want to re-invest in programs that are succeeding.
